Welcome to CSI Christ Church of Chicago! Rooted in the cherished traditions of the Church of South India (CSI), our church welcomes all Christians from South India, offering a familiar and meaningful spiritual home in the Chicagoland area and neighboring states.
Our church cherishes the rich heritage of the Church of South India, formed through the union of several Protestant denominations, including the Methodist Church, Church of England, Congregational Church, and Presbyterian Church. Our worship services beautifully blend South Indian Christian traditions with contemporary elements, offering our community a distinctive and spiritually resonant experience.
Our church offers a welcoming and supportive community for both Christians and non-Christians from South India. It is a community where individuals can create connections, share their unique life stories, find support and encouragement, and foster deep, enduring relationships.

Our church is deeply rooted in the heritage of the Church of South India, a remarkable union of Protestant denominations, including the Methodist Church, Church of England, Congregational Church, and Presbyterian Church. Through special events that feature traditional South Indian hymns and vibrant cultural festivals, we foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere—a sense of home, even when far from our homeland.
PURPOSE OF CSI CHURCH OF CHICAGO
The purpose of CSI Christ Church of Chicago is to worship God by providing a spiritual home rooted in the values and traditions of the Church of South India. The church strives to foster a faith-filled community where individuals can worship, grow spiritually, and support one another. Through its ministries, outreach programs, and fellowship, the church is dedicated to serving both its members and the broader Chicagoland community with love, compassion, and unity.

Our mission is to glorify God by nurturing a loving and inclusive community, empowering individuals to grow in their traditional Church of South India (CSI) Christian faith, and serving others with compassion and humility. Through worship, discipleship, and outreach, we aim to share the transformative love of Christ and make a positive impact in the world.

CSI Community in Chicago
Rooted in Faith, Reaching for the World
CSI Christ Church of Chicago is a vibrant congregation rooted in the traditions of the Church of South India (CSI). It serves as a spiritual home for Christians, primarily from Kerala, India, living in the Chicagoland area and neighboring states. The church offers worship services in Malayalam on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays, and in English on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, creating a welcoming environment for diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
As a congregation within the Church of South India (CSI), we draw our primary liturgy from the ‘Common Book of Prayer,’ a revered text that is extensively utilized by various Protestant denominations and Christian organizations worldwide.
As a congregation of Protestant South Indian Christians, we take pride in celebrating the vibrant richness and diversity of our cultural heritage. Through special events that highlight traditional South Indian hymns and lively cultural festivals, we cultivate a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a true sense of home, even while we are far from our homeland.
Our Jurney
Since January 5th, 2025, we have been worshiping at our new location: 1095 Thacker Street, Des Plaines, IL, while actively searching for a permanent worship space that is conveniently located for all our members. Our journey is one of faith and unity, and we invite everyone to join us in this mission.
